Ingredients

buttermilk

whole wheat kernels
1/3
cup
brown rice

corn meal

butter

egg
1/4
teaspoon
salt

brown sugar

baking powder

teaspoons
soda
Instructions
Preheat griddle to 375 degrees.
In a blender or food processor, process buttermilk, wheat kernels and rice on high for 3 minutes.
Add cornmeal, butter, egg, salt, and brown sugar. Blend for 15 seconds.
Add baking powder and soda. Blend for 10 seconds. It will foam up and get lighter and fluffier.
Make pancakes by pouring about 1/4 cup batter onto hot, lightly greased griddle.
Cook for about 1 1/2- 2 minutes on each side, or until bubbles form around edges.
Turn and cook on the other side until golden brown.
