Homemade Honey Butter (with jalapeno and cinnamon variations)
This recipe for homemade honey butter is incredibly easy and whips up in a flash using just 3 ingredients- honey, butter, and a bit of salt. Incredibly versatile, you can use it for rolls, cornbread, add it to savory dishes and easily make different variations like Jalapeno or Cinnamon Honey Butter with just 1 additional ingredient.
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat butter for about a minute.
Add honey, salt, and cinnamon (if using) and beat to combine.
For jalapeno honey butter
Use a spatula stir in the jalapenos. Use immediately or store covered in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
Honey butter (and the cinnamon version) will keep in the fridge for up to 1 month. The jalapeno version will keep for up to 1 week refrigerated. To use after being refrigerated, allow the butter to thaw at room temperature until softened. I would not recommend microwaving it because that can cause it to separate funny and not mix together well. After it is thawed it may need to be beat together again briefly.
