When we moved into our apartment I wanted to create a fun bedroom for our two kids. Having one boy and one girl, trying to come up with a theme that would suit both was difficult. My daughter is very much a girly girl who loves pinks and purples. My son is all boy and wants nothing to do with pinks and purples. So I proposed a compromise of a pirate/mermaid themed room.

I shared my mermaid inspiration post a while ago, and by while ago I do mean a year and a half ago. Yeah….sorry about that. Anyways, I’m finally getting around to sharing the other half of my inspiration. Because we are renting we are rather limited on what we could do but I will be sharing how I decorated there halves soon! And I promise it won’t be another year and a half before I do!
