Simple Slow Cooker Mulled Berry Orange Juice is a fantastic non-alcoholic beverage for the holidays.
One of the recipes that is a must around the holidays is my mother-in-laws wassail. It was a recipe my husband wanted to make sure that I had in my collection. Growing up we didn’t have many special drinks so I didn’t get what all the hype was. That first Christmas with the in-laws I got my first taste of wassail and was hooked!
Ever since then I’ve realized how much I love warm drinks especially in the cool fall and winter weather. So now I like to dream up different variations and make them for all of our various gatherings with family and friends.
These holidays have been a little crazier than previous years. I’ve found that the anticipation of so many expectations have worn on them a bit. Not only are they eagerly anticipating Christmas but they are just as excited to welcome their new baby brother. Both my husband and I have been trying to take care of wrapping presents, prepping for the baby, as well as participating in all of the holiday activities that are fun but can feel overwhelming.
Minute Maid has a #doingood campaign out right now to remind parents of all the big and small things they do to make a wonderful positive difference in their children’s lives. They are doing this by celebrating the perfect imperfection for us moms and dads everywhere who really are doing much better than we think. I know I am usually my own worst critic feeling like i haven’t done enough with and for my family but I just need to remember that being with them is good enough. Minute Maid is also encouraging us to remind another parent they are “doing good” this holiday season- I love this easy act of kindness, we all need an uplifting word sometimes.
And that is why I love how easy this Mulled Berry Orange Juice is to whip up when company is coming, helping keep me present with my family and spending less time in the kitchen. This is definitely being made for Christmas Eve brunch with my family so I can focus less on what I need all prepared and more on enjoying spending time with everyone.
Conveniently, Albertsons is located right next to my OB’s office so it was a quick trip into the store. The Minute Maid Orange Juice was located in the refrigerated section towards the rear of my store. The frozen mixed berries were located in the same aisle so it was a really quick trip in. Plus, there is a Catalina coupon offer for $20 off at Shutterfly.com when you purchase 4 participating Coca-Cola products in one shopping trip. The Catalina will print-out at the register with a unique pin code to redeem online at Shutterfly.com.
The Minute Maid blog has lots of fabulous ideas for how to upcycle their boxes, gift ideas for neighbors and friends, and recipes too so make sure to take a look!
How do you find ways to stay present during the holidays and not get caught up in all the hustle and bustle?

I agree! It doesn’t have to be complicated to be special.
