3 Ingredient Curry Mayo

This simple 3 ingredient curry mayo can be used as a dipping sauce or as a sandwich spread and can be whipped up in just a few minutes.

I have found that my kids are way more adventurous about what they will dip their food in than what foods they will dip in the sauce. So, I’ve been on a mission to come up with a greater variety of sauces for them to try, like sriracha fry sauce, to help them expand their palates.

Curry is a wonderful flavor packed spice blend that is used in many different types of cuisines across Asia and the Middle East. It is an incredibly fragrant mix made from a blend of black pepper, cumin, ginger, and turmeric.

This simple dip takes just a few minutes to make so it is easy to whip up in small batches when you want it! You can dip things like fresh veggies, chips, or you can try some homemade carrot fries.


Where can you get curry powder?

I prefer to purchase spices like curry powder from my local international market. International markets will often cater to all of the different cultures that are local to the market. Although they may focus on African, Asian, Middle Eastern, or Latin American cuisine, they will often carry other foods popular in other regions.

What can I use if I can’t find curry powder?

Making your own curry powder at home is incredibly easy and it can be made with whole or ground spices. Here are a couple different recipes you can try at home. Each recipe is from a different region with slightly different ratios of the spices.

Homemade Curry Mayo

This simple 3 ingredient sauce takes mere minutes to make. You'll love dipping all sorts of foods in your curry mayo or using it as a spread on sandwiches or burgers.

  • 3 Tablespoon mayonnaise (use vegan option if desired)
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 teaspoon lime juice


  • Whisk together the mayonnaise, curry powder, and lime juice in a small bowl and set aside.


Keep refrigerated, covered in an airtight container and consume within 2-3 days.
If you want more heat, you can increase the amount of curry powder up to about 2 teaspoons.
