Apple Bacon Turkey burgers are a lighter option made with ground turkey and topped with turkey bacon, green apple slices, and a honey mustard spread.

We love these Apple Bacon Turkey burgers any time of the year. Whenever I say we are having this for dinner my hubby always gets a little excited. My kids willing ate it (minus the sauce) and I was a happy camper because everyone ate really well. As burgers go these are a great flavorful AND healthy alternative, especially when served with sweet potato fries.

I honestly wouldn’t stick these turkey burgers on the grill unless you have one of these grill mats because the mix is so soft I would be afraid it would fall through. I do them in a well oiled cast iron pan inside which works just fine. And it’s perfect for the winter when you might not want to be outside on the grill.

If you didn’t want to use turkey bacon you could totally use regular bacon but it does mess with the lighter feel to the burgers but I know it would be just as tasty.

This looks great and I love how you seasoned the ground turkey and used applesauce in the mix! I bet that helped keep them moist!!

I think turkey burgers can tend to be a bit dry so the applesauce is an easy way to keep it from happening.
