Reading has always been one of my favorite past times and for the last few years I have made a goal to read 50 books throughout the year. It’s a pretty lofty goal and I know that I’m going to be hard pressed to make that goal if I read only adult novels. So each year I try to mix in the adult books with classic children’s books, young adult novels, and my personal favorite books like Agatha Christie mysteries and Jane Austen and Jane Austen fan fiction. I’ve come pretty close every year hitting between 35-45 books.
We own a ridiculous amount of books that the movers complained about when they had to unload about 40 boxes of books- and we only had about 225 boxes total! We continue to expand on that but it can be hard to come by books for me. One, I don’t make it to the library as often as I like because I am either working or shuttling my children around. Two, books are heavy and I can’t always carry one with me for those times when I am just sitting around waiting.
I bought a Kindle Fire HD for Christmas a few years back and I love the convenience it offers for carrying a vast library of books in something so small and lightweight. My husband has a Kindle that he really loves and what’s awesome is we can share our library of books across all Kindles, and you can even read eBooks using the FREE Kindle Reading App on most devices. So there is really no excuse to not have a book with me at all times. No claims of boredom here!
I thought I would share some of the many books you can get for free.
