The other day we were eating outside and my husband and I kept talking about how soothing it was to dine al fresco. It sounds so much fancier than what we were doing which was sitting in front of the house directly across from the freeway but if you thought about tuning out the cars and trucks you could hear the birds and zen for a minute. Despite the noise it was incredibly refreshing. It’s one of the best parts of summer.
Not one of the best parts of summer is being stuck inside cooking while everyone else is outside playing. That is one of my biggest frustrations, which is why I love grilling. Someday I want an outdoor kitchen so I can do what I love (and need to) AND still get to be a part of everything.
