Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Learn how to make this easy Buffalo chicken pizza for dinner. It’s made with Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and rotisserie chicken and you can top it with ranch or blue cheese dressing for a pizza that rivals anything you can order in!

In college I worked at a pizza place on campus for 3 years. I remember coming home from work at night, sitting on the couch with my roommates and chatting at 2am only to rub my eyes and realize that my face was completely covered with a light dusting of flour. It still makes me smile every time I make pizza.

The coolest part of working at a pizza place was finally learning how to toss pizza dough! I always got kind of giddy as I’d stand there tossing the dough in the air.

So I like to put those hard earned skills to work making pizzas at home. What’s silly is I usually just pull from our leftovers to make these “specialty” pizzas. Leftover cooked chicken or a rotisserie chicken get put to use for pizzas like this.

Ingredients you need:

  • 1 pizza crust
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 1 cup shredded chicken
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp green onions

Also don’t be afraid to make pizza at home. You can make this easy 30 minute pizza dough but if making the dough scares you just call your local pizza place and see if you can buy some dough rounds from them.

Optional

You can top the pizza with ranch or blue cheese dressing and top it with additional chopped green onions.

How to make this:

  • Combine melted butter and Frank’s Red Hot Sauce in a small bowl.
  • Spread the buffalo sauce over the pizza crust leaving a 1- inch border around the edges.
  • Top with shredded chicken and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in 450 degree F oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
  • Remove from onion and top with green onions.

What to eat with pizza?

I always like to serve pizza with some fruit and greens. Our favorite combo is Honey Lime Fruit Salad and Mango and Mandarin Orange Salad. You can even eat some healthier grilled buffalo chicken along with it just like you might do in a pizza place.

However, any classic salad would work like this Everday Salad or Cobb Salad is also a good pairing.

    1. Thanks Jenna! I’ve actually been really grateful for those days. Who would have thought I would be so grateful for a pizza job in college?
